General reminder
- No smoking is allowed except at the designated area on the Komaba campus of the University of Tokyo.
- Due to limited parking area, please use public transportation to attend the meeting.
- Photographing, voice-recording and video-recording are generally not allowed during the presentations.
Registration
- Registration documentation will be handed-out to the participants from the registration desk. If you pay the registration fee through Japan Post Bank after 8 August, please bring the receipt with you.
- The registration desk will be located on the first floor of the building #12. Registration desk will open on 9:00, August 22.
- Please make the name tag (included in registration documentation) visible during the meeting.
- On-site registration will be accepted at the registration desk.
Guidelines for oral presentation
- Oral presentation will be held on August, 22 (13:30-17:40) at four different rooms; Session A:Room #1311, Session B:Room #1313, Session D:Room #1323, Session F:Room #1213. Please note that the room #1213 is located at the different building(#12) from the others (#13).
- Visual display for oral presentation is done by projecting computer display on screen. Presentation materials must be loaded on a designated computer in prior. No computers except those provided by the meeting organizers are used for oral presentation in general.
- Please rename the file containing your presentation materials as "OP000-name.pptx" or "OP000-name.ppt", where the oral presentation number is followed by presenter's name and proper extension.
- Please bring the file containing your presentation materials to the desk near the registration desk located on the first floor of the building #12) and load to the designated computers (MS windows XP or MAC OS-X Leopard). For those presenting during 13:30-15:30 and 15:40-17:40, load the files during 10:00-12:00 and 10:00-13:30, respectively. Due to recent increases of computer virus infection through USB memory, we encourage each speaker to bring a copy of presentation materials on a CD.
- PowerPoint 2007 (Win, Japanese edition), PowerPoint 2008 (Mac, Japanese edition) or Adobe Reader 9 (PDF, Japanese edition) as well as Window Media Player (Win, Japanese edition) and Quick time (MAC, Japanese edition) will be available.
- Little assistance and time will be available in the presentation rooms so please make any last minute adjustments at the computers in the ready room (Room #1212). However, only limited number of computers will be available at the ready room so please keep any adjustment minimum.
- Each Speaker has been allocated 15 min, i.e. 12 min for presentation and 3 min for questions. During a presentation, 1st, 2nd and 3rd bell will ring at 10min, 12min and 14min 30sec of talks to keep each talk in time.
Guidelines for poster presentation
- Each author is allotted a 180cm high x 90cm wide board. Push pins to attach the poster to the poster board will be provided.
- Posters session will start on 17:40, August 22 at the Komaba communication plaza South Bldg. 2F. Poster can be displayed from 9:30, August 22. All posters must be removed from the boards by no later than 20:45, August 22.
- Poster presenters must stay in front of their own posters to explain their contents during the presentation time. For those with odd and even poster numbers, the presentation time is 17:50-18:40 and 18:40-19:30, respectively.
